Important Notice Regarding Home and Project Addresses

VillageHomePros does not request or require homeowners to provide their precise street address when submitting a project or requesting service-provider matches.

For privacy and security, homeowners should not include their exact street address or other unnecessary precise-location information in project descriptions, photographs, or other information submitted for a project listing.

Homeowners should provide their exact project location directly to a service provider only after they have decided they are comfortable communicating with or hiring that provider.

Homeowners should also review photographs before uploading them and avoid including visible house numbers, license plates, documents, or other information they do not want prospective service providers to see.

B. Information Collected Automatically

When you use our website, we and service providers that support our website may automatically collect certain information, including:

• IP address
• Browser type
• Device type and device information
• Operating system
• Pages viewed
• Dates and times of visits
• Time spent on pages
• Referring and exit pages or URLs
• Website interactions

3. How the VillageHomePros Lead Marketplace Works

VillageHomePros operates a marketplace that allows homeowners to submit information about home-service projects and allows participating service providers to purchase access to homeowner contact information for available leads.

Before a Lead Is Purchased

Before purchasing a lead, eligible service providers may be able to view information associated with the project, including:

• The full project listing description
• Project photographs, if provided by the homeowner
• A VillageHomePros lead reference number
• The homeowner's preferred method of contact
• The original project posting date
• The number of leads already sold and/or the number of lead opportunities remaining

A homeowner's telephone number and email address are not provided to a service provider merely because the service provider views the available project listing.

After a Lead Is Purchased

When a service provider purchases a lead, VillageHomePros provides that service provider with the homeowner's:

• Telephone number
• Email address

This enables the purchasing service provider to contact the homeowner regarding the project.

By submitting a project through VillageHomePros, homeowners understand that the project information they submit may be displayed to eligible service providers and that their telephone number and email address will be provided to service providers that purchase the lead.

Maximum Number of Lead Purchases

VillageHomePros currently limits each homeowner project lead to a maximum of three service-provider purchases.

This means that a homeowner's contact information may be provided to as many as three separate service providers that purchase that particular lead.

VillageHomePros may modify its lead-distribution model in the future. If we make a material change affecting how homeowner personal information is disclosed, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any additional notice required by applicable law.

Contact Between Homeowners and Service Providers

Once contact information has been provided to a purchasing service provider, communications and information exchanged directly between the homeowner and service provider may occur outside VillageHomePros.

Homeowners should use their own judgment when deciding what additional information to provide, including their exact project address, access information, scheduling information, or other personal information.

4. Service-Provider Payments and Stripe

VillageHomePros currently charges service providers a flat-rate fee for each lead purchased.

Payments are processed using Stripe, a third-party payment processor.

When a service provider makes a payment, payment information may be collected and processed directly by Stripe. VillageHomePros may receive information concerning the transaction, such as payment status, amount, transaction identifiers, and certain customer or billing information necessary to administer the transaction.

VillageHomePros does not intend to store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes on its own systems when those payment credentials are collected and processed directly by Stripe.

Stripe's collection, use, and protection of information is also governed by Stripe's own privacy policies and terms.

5. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances.

A. Service Providers Purchasing Leads

We disclose homeowner information to service providers as described in Section 3.

Project information may be visible to eligible service providers before purchase. A homeowner's telephone number and email address are provided after the service provider purchases the lead.

B. Vendors and Technology Providers

We may disclose information to companies that perform services on our behalf or support our operations, including providers of:

• Payment processing
• Website hosting and infrastructure
• Website analytics
• Advertising and marketing
• Email and communications
• Customer support
• Security and fraud prevention

These companies may process information as necessary to provide their services to us and as otherwise permitted by their own terms and applicable law.

We do not characterize our privacy practices using vague statements such as claiming that we do not sell information “in the traditional sense.” Instead, this Privacy Policy describes how our lead marketplace works so users can understand what information is provided to service providers and under what circumstances.

We do not intend to provide homeowner contact information to unrelated data brokers for the purpose of creating consumer profiles or mailing lists.

Our use of third-party analytics or advertising technologies may result in certain online identifiers or website-interaction information being transmitted to the providers of those technologies.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate business purposes, including:

Service providers available through VillageHomePros are independent businesses or individuals and are not necessarily employees, agents, or representatives of VillageHomePros.

Once a homeowner provides information directly to a service provider, including an exact address or additional contact or project information, that service provider's collection and use of the information may be governed by the service provider's own privacy practices.

Homeowners should consider what information they wish to provide directly to a service provider.

14. Children's Privacy

VillageHomePros is intended for use by adults and is not intended for children under 18.

We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
